 Heller completed a manufacturing system for a leading parts producer that includes 20 HMC’s plus two retooled Heller Flexible System Transfers (FST’s) to produce the aluminum V-6 engine blocks. The manufacturer conserved capital cost while getting a high-capability Heller system.
- Heller US has taken orders from three major producers of heavy-duty engines, including Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, and PACCAR, taking the lead in designing and producing these systems worldwide. Heller simultaneous engineering was key to developing these systems for cost-effective production. Heller is rated in Europe as the #1 heavy-duty powertrain component machining system by Deutsche Bank.
- Heller also received an order recently to retool a competitor’s machining system from a domestic US automotive OEM. The revamped and improved system will machine a new transmission component.
